Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're part of the government club the steals the wealth of every Canadian citizen.
The Canadian should keep paying massive debt loads of cash to private banks that create money out of nothing and charge us compounded interest rather than use the Bank of Canada with no debt to the citizens of Canada
The Canadian should keep paying massive debt loads of cash to the United Nations, and our highest national priority is not enforcing U.N. resolutions in Canada or any where else
Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness. "Standing Tall for Canada" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.
A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.
The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.
If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
A good way to fight terrorism is to declare anyone who ask questions to consider them a terrorist, and then demand them to pay for false wars in distant lands so we may save them and give them democracy.
HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.
Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion, and our government went right along with him.
A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which millions die is solid defense policy.
Government officials do not need to follow rules in the Constitution or listen to the people.

You don’t need to listen to the people because they have no rights.
Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.
Time to change the way Governments operate in this old system
From Near and Far Ignatieff, Liberals and Canada’s fate Stephanie McDowall, Nanaimo BC Sent to Toronto Star re “No guts, no glory for Ignatieff and the Liberals” in the March 25, 2010 edition at: www.thestar.com/opinion/article/784874 Those who have control of the Western world and a great deal of the rest want Harper to remain in power to usher in something similar to the SPPA (Mexico, U.S, & Canada) and the full participation of what remains of Canada into the "new world order". No one will be allowed to interfere in this. I suspect Ignatieff is a Trojan Horse. His aim ... be bland enough to not excite any Canadian and hence insure another Conservative victory. With Dion at the helm of the Liberal Party of Canada I doubt if there would have been a Canadian who did not recognize his sincerity, his deep love of Canada and his desire to improve the lives of most Canadians. He too has a formidable intellect. What a shame Canadians are into the superficial just like Americans. It is true Dion looks a little nerdy but so what. As to his English.... I listened hard to what he had to say and I always understood him. The media played a role too in ensuring the poor public perception Canadians had of Mr. Dion. Most Canadians now expect our corporately controlled media to be supportive of a very conservative right wing government. The odd liberal article does not change how most thinking Canadians now view our media. Perhaps because I live in B.C., where almost all media is now controlled by CanWest I have a skewered view of the media. However I do monitor the Toronto & Montreal English newspapers. I don't think it is any accident that Ignatieff is not beneficial to the Liberal Party. Pity. Fascism is on the march in this country and thanks to our media, the U.S. media and both the Liberal and Conservative Parties, there is no one to counteract what is taking place. Layton is a waste of time too. He remains silent on a large number of critical issues he should be shouting from the roof-tops about. It is my opinion that everyone of importance within any of our political parties has been bought off. This may or may not include Elizabeth May. When it comes time to vote in the next Federal election I probably will go to the polls if only to deface my ballot. I have never not voted in my life. For the longest time I believed my vote mattered. I no longer do. I now have accepted, that no matter who wins an election in Canada, nothing will change. The corporations control every Provincial Government in this country as they do our Federal Governments. I suppose you have noted how Canada's most valuable assets are being sold off to corporations ? I never thought I would live in a Canada that has become
Apathy is the mind killer and there is nothing to fear but fear it’s self.
There are two ways that politicians control the people, one is apathy the other is fear.
Apathy is their greatest weapon of all; they convince the people that nothing will ever change no matter what you do.
This is the worst thing that can be done to people, it destroys the passion the fearlessness the optimism the hope, all the things that make life wonderful and exciting it drains our passion or optimism our dreams our love of discovery all the wonderful things that make living and loving worthwhile.
It is our optimism that is the sole of life, the discovery, the adventure, the optimism of a parent watching their child take their first steps and that child’s discovery and optimism that fills her life with the ecstasy of what can be.
You see, when people have been convinced nothing will ever change they give up, just like when a prisoner is being tortured eventually they give up and the touchier wins
Apathy is the cruelest of methods of mass torture that can be placed upon humans.
Like the chains of slavery each link drags us down and the links are forged with the mundane, the sameness, the endless repetition of sugar coated lies.
That they are looking into it, as they avoid doing anything that distracts them from their personal agenda.
And when there is a large enough outcry from the people like the Afghan detainee torture scandal.
The politicians after much hoopla and media attention create a secret committee of themselves to look into it and so they add another link in the chain that never ends.
And now for fear, not the fear of being shot or being killed or having your home bombed or being burnt alive by white phosphorus when your community is bombed.
They reserve that for other people, in other nations ,people that still have the fearless passion and do not want to bow down to the multinational banks and corporations.
The people are demonized they call them terrorists, insurgents; they are just people wanting to be free.
The politicians and the media work so very hard to convince us that W.A.R (we are right) is the only way to protect us.
They do their masters biding; they have sold out to the same companies.
The destruction of humanity and the planet means nothing to them as long as they can feed their greed, their happy because their all getting richer.
At home they control the citizen with taxes, fees, and interest and the repetitious cycle of financial market’s rise and fall. The candy of getting ahead, Invest your money and the well orchestrated fall, they even have a name for it (sucker spikes) the media calls it profit taking, at which they make so much.
And let’s not forget the greatest weapons used upon us, poverty and its fear the constant struggle to keep your head above the water.
They know that when people are not fearful they have time to examine and question their masters.
They know that if they can keep the nation in a state of depression they have control over you and me.
All of these reasons are why I designed the systems and created the National Non Profit Party. http://nnpp.caSystems that will break the endless cycle of depression and apathy.
A system which frees the people, from the fear and oppression of debt, taxes unemployment, poverty.
Systems that will let all humans live a full life, filled with all the fearless passion and opportunity you hope for.
I am not a politician, I am a builder, we have had decades of politicians and everything has gotten worse.
I have stepped into the realm of politics but will never be a politician.
The nation and the planet at this time needs builders and doers we have the knowhow and the technology to fix everything quickly.
We have the will, we need to regain our optimism our passion our fearlessness we need to look, to think and to act.
Apathy is the mind killer and there is nothing to fear but fear it’s self.
I apologize to you I am sometimes long winded but there is so much to do and say.
I really want to know your opinion andask your friends.
Everything in the observed universe is made up of energy, even matter which are bits of vibrating energy. Even in quantum theory it is being postulated that there is a field of electro-magnetic energy that encompasses everything in our known universe. The most recent term given to this field of energy is the zero-point field because it is believed to be the lowest state of a field. All energy is vibration and all vibration is sound. It is not a stretch to postulate that the field of energy that encompasses everything in the universe is sound waves at a frequency inaudible to the human ear. Studies pioneered by Dr. Hans Jenny has demonstrated that substances such as sands, fluids and powders, oscillated at different vibrations/sounds produced stunning fractal geometric patterns. The higher the frequency the more complex these patterns became. He called this cymatics. Fractals are complex geometric patterns exhibiting self-similarity in that small details of its structure viewed at any scale repeat elements of the overall pattern. It is than not a stretch to hypothesize that this field of energy that encompasses the whole universe is fractal in nature. A fractal can divide into itself into infinity and expand into infinity making the zero-point field an inadequate term to describe this field because it implies that it is the lowest state of energy when in fact this energy is multidimensional in resolution representing an infinite amount of energy in the vacuum of space.
Fractals are found everywhere in nature and in the known universe. Ferns, trees, broccoli, flowers clouds, mountain ranges, galaxies, all display fractal repetitious patterns. Virus, mould and bacterial aggregate colonies spontaneously assume Fractal Shapes. Snowflakes are another example of fractal geometric patterns found in nature. Crystalline structures form fractal like shapes- the list goes on and on.
In physics a new hypothesis is emerging regarding the nature of black holes and the nature of the universe. However In this theory a black hole is not just a vortex that sucks up energy at its event horizon but it spews out an equal amout of energy, maintaining an equilibrium. In this theory it is suggested that the universe is made of different scales of black holes from the universal size to atomic size. . These atoms have a contractive aspect and a expansive aspect as well. Up the scales it is theorized that at the center of earth is a black hole that causes the earth to spin because of its vortex which is responsible for gravitation on earth as well. However the expansive aspect of earths inner black hole is responsible for the planets growth: the driving force behind the break-up of Pangaea: the super continent that existed when the planet was much smaller. Continuing, the earth with a black hole at its center is orbiting around an even bigger black hole which is in the center of the sun. The sun is traveling around an even bigger black hole which is the center of the milky way galaxy , and the milky way galaxy is travelling around an even bigger black hole which is the universe and this universe might be travelling around an even bigger black hole representing a fractal repetitious infinite pattern moving towards higher degrees of complexity. Nassim Haramein gives a calculation in his Scale Unification: A Universal Scaling Law for Organized Matter paper (see equation #4 through #16) where he demonstrates that the nuclei of atoms can be described as a mini black holes. His research demonstrates that even our own sun and the atomic structure that makes up our reality is centered by black hole dynamics. This represents a fractal holographic pattern.
Although these discoveries may seem new, these beliefs are ancient. The Emerald tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, purportedly discovered by Alexander the Great in the Tomb of Hermes, describes a fractal reality with this statement; "That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing. In the Tao te Ching, written over 2000 years ago, by Lao Tzu, he states in verse 25 third stanza; “The Tao is incredibly great because it occupies infinite space, being fully present in the whole universe and in every infinitesimal particle. To Lao Tzu there was no smallest particle of matter because that scientists today search for, the concept of a fractal universe was common sense to the Taoist how found fractals everywhere in nature and in different scales. Even a family was considered a fractal to the Taoist who viewed couples having children as an infinite fractal dynamic. According to Vedic science, the universe is a giant yantra. A yantra is a concentration of fractal geometric designs. These Vedic scientists believed that the Universe consisted of a pulsating network of cosmic forces, Shiva and Shatki ( masculine and feminine energies similar the ying and the yang) that created geometric patterns through which all forms were structured.. These yantra’s are present in nature as crystalline forms in minerals and in snowflakes among an infinite number of examples. The Vedic scientist had a name for this yantra that encompassed everything in the universe, it was the Akashic field, the ancient version of the zero-point field. Embedded within this field holographically however, is all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos. And to these ancient scientists, people’s consciousness is interwoven with this field exchanging information unconsciously and to those spiritually adept, consciously. So to the ancient scientist everything was energy and everything had an infinite nature. The universe was a fractal dynamic- a cosmic symphony. It would have come to them as no surprise when Kepler discovered the music of the spheres: physical harmonies in motion of the celestial bodies.
The implication of a fractal universe is that the micro represents the macro and the macro represents the micro. Natural rhythms and patterns occur which are microcosmic representations of the larger whole or macrocosmic representations of the smaller whole. Even the human individual can be looked at as a microcosm of the universe. In understanding our own bodies and our own nature we can understand the nature of the universe. The human being to the Taoists is the small cosmos and the universe is the large cosmos. In Christianity, humanity is made in the image of God. In Vedic science, the true self devoid of all ego is the atman or the divine self which is one with Brahman, the absolute of the universe. Even in Christianity Jesus emphasised that he was one with the father; that he was in the father and that the father was in him. In Taoism it is emphasized to be one with the Tao: the ebb and flow of life- to be in harmony with the natural rhythms of nature and the universe; adopting the consciousness of the universe. In Vedic science, God-consciousness is emphasized as well: adopting the consciousness of the cosmos. This is done by discovering the atman or divine self which is one with the will and totality of the universe: Brahman. The implication of a fractal universe for humanity is unprecedented. It means that humans have a fractal nature. With an infinite amount of energy in the universe, we have the potential for an infinite amount of growth and evolution. With modern science catching up with ancient science, it is becoming clear which direction humanity should go towards. We should go in the direction of harmony with nature harmony with each other, and harmony within ourselves. This is what it means to be in harmony with the ebb and flow of the universe, to be in harmony with the universe. Quite simply it means to follow Natural Law. The cultivation of the health and hygiene of the humanity through the cultivation of the mind body and spirit is a worthy habit to adopt. This is the direction humanity needs to move towards for its evolution.
Whatever is healthy to the body is healthy to the individual and is in the best interest of everything and everyone. The place of humanity in the universe dictates that there are things that should be done and things that should not be done; there is that which should be taken and that which should not be taken; that which should be promoted and that which should be prevented. Pursuing that which is beneficial and avoiding that which is harmful. Communion, integration, communication, harmony and balance should be emphasized. These should not be irreconcilable extremes, which would ruin the foundation of human existence and evolution. The human body is a miniature universe, a microcosm. Information of the universe is registered in the human body as well as information on the evolution of humankind and human society. The universe is a dynamic where true harmony can exist, and it can be achieved through the perfection of health. In this model health is a fractal dynamic, where health is not just the absence of disease, but a never ending direction towards growth and evolution. Health will lead to happiness, bliss, world peace, and infinite amount of creative potential. Health is enlightenment. To enlighten would mean to energize your mind body and spirit because light is energy and energy is information. So acquiring information about yourself and the nature of the universe is energizing and enlightening to the body mind and spirit- the totality of self. Releasing all tension in the body, increasing energy flow is nourishing and enlightening to body, mind and spirit. Cultivating the virtues of compassion; love, joy, kindness, respect, happiness, understanding, trust, acceptance, is also healthy, nourishing and very enlightening to the body, mind, and spirit. Also, eating live natural organic food is enlightening to the body because these foods contain an abundance of life force. Spending time in nature, with its abundance of life force, oxygen and energy is healthy for the totality of self as well.
The cultivation of health is a sustainable harmonic lifestyle that can bring unity to the planet: man with each other and man with himself and man with the environment. This is because the foundation of health is self respect for oneself, compassion for others and compassion for nature.
Catalan police forces have protested the order to guard the venue of the Bilderberg meeting on the grounds that tax payers should not have to foot the security bill for a private meeting, according to Spanish media and the Swiss blog Alles Schall und Rauch.
Bankers and corporate bosses are believed to be meeting their political hirelings at the Bilderberg meeting in Sitges, close to Barcelona, to give them instructions on how to manage economic collapses, engineer wars and false pandemics for the profit of the banks and corporations.
Media executives such as Matthias Nass of Die Zeit and Juan Luis Cebrián Echarri: The CEO and co-founder of El Pais; the CEO of Grupo Prisa, are also attending the meeting in Sitges - highly likely to discuss how to spin events in such a way that the general public does not understand what is going on.
ASR also reports that some of the police forces guarding the venue have switched sides and that one police man quit his post, refusing to guard the Bilderberg organized crime syndicate as it plots the ruin of Spain and Europe.
The three governments China, Russia, and India plus leading economists of the U.S. have agreed to allow the LaRouche movement to release the transcript of the private dialogue these representatives had with LaRouche on April 29 in New York City. This dialogue is the most important international strategic diplomatic event to have occurred centered on how nations are going to deal with the global financial crisis. Its release at this time is a signal for the changes that are coming soon.
General Stanley McChrystal's Rolling Stone interview represents the spreading of the mass strike process into the U.S. military, especially to the troops in Afghanistan. The implications of McChrystals criticisms of Obama, and McCrystal's resignation are that Obama has lost the support of the U.S. military.
LaRouche activist Kesha Rogers who won the Democratic primary in Texas back in March is now being covered on impeaching Obama first by Time Magazine, and now yesterday by CNN's Campbell Brown, Fox T.V. and Rush Limbaugh. Republican and Democratic incumbents also lost heavily yesterday in their respective primary elections.
Many of Obama's top inner group like Rahm Emanuel and Peter Orzag are struggling to find a way out of the Obama government without landing in jail, as the discussion on LaRouche's Glass-Steagall reforms spreads throughout the U.S.
A GREAT CHANGE IS A COMING SOON! WATCH THE WEBCAST WITH LAROUCHE, SATURDAY AT 10 AM PACIFIC TIME 6/26/10.
The social make up of civilization has remained the same. There are the ruling classes (the oligarchs) and there are the masses. In the last one hundred and fifty years, a middle class has developed. Democracy has been implemented in many nations but the influence of oligarchs on world affairs far exceeds that of the collective masses because of the various systems of slavery imposed on humanity. Mind, monetary, and war slavery have so far rendered us impotent to make any serious changes by dumbing us down, parasitically indebting and taxing us, and turning nation against nation. We are conditioned to accept these forms of slavery as the norm. The middle class, although experiencing a higher standard of living than most places in the world and in different times of human history, combined with the lower classes have not matched the coherent influence and cooperation of the oligarchs of today. Like I said, there is still an oligarchy and there are the masses and it has been like that for thousands of years.
The masses have been used by megalomaniacal rulers to satisfy their own personal conquests. Sometimes these larger than life egos clash with other megalomaniacal egos and we get war. Sometimes, these oligarchical rulers with their visions of grandeur seek to shape the world according to their own world views. These rulers stop at nothing to achieve their goals even if it means war. Maybe these individuals are well intentioned but the pattern and the system never changes. There must always be war or the possibility of war. There must always be never ending conquest and colonialism. There must always be a boogie man. We have seen it in the past with the Romans, the Greeks, the Chinese, and the Mongols and more recently with the imperialism of the British and the US. The system in all these civilizations has been these same. There were the oligarchs, the royal families, the emperors and there was perpetual warfare, which is the core element of war slavery. It is used to control the masses who outnumber the oligarchs. War is used to distract humanity for anything that may lead them to discover their true divine nature. It is used for the oligarchs' own vanity and to satisfy their egos and their need for importance and power. War is the biggest driver and mobilizer of civilization.
War is now the main driving force behind technological development. Our main focus of technological development is not to improve infrastructure or to create free energy but to develop technology that kills more efficiently. Governments have allocated trillions of dollars in war spending to develop the latest fleet of bombers or advanced weaponry. Resources are put towards developing bombs that can be launched from one end of the globe and hit a target within a millimeter. Billions of $$$ have gone to developing nuclear weapons. Although nuclear energy may have some beneficial and potential uses in terms of clean energy, nothing however can excuse the development of biological weapons that can kill hundreds of thousands of people through unimaginable illness that can destroy the body from the inside out whether it be Ebola or small pox.
The cold war was another example of war slavery. The Soviet threat was exaggerated to create a world order of global enslavement. The threat of communism provided the pretext for popular democratically elected governments to be overthrown by the CIA. The new regimes that took over would indebt the nations to the monetary masters of the world. Corporations would loot the resources of these nations impoverishing the people. The defence industry would profit from record amounts of defence spending. Vietnam which posed no threat to the US or the people of the world became a war theatre. The people once again were sent off to war to die and the defence contractors made billions.
World War 1 and World War 2 created a lasting armaments industry, and lasting debt for nations trying to rebuild. 60 million people would also parish.
Today the new enemy is not Soviet Russia or the Nazis. It is terrorists. 9/11 had to happen to maintain the status quo: perpetual war and an economy with war as its foundation. The cold war had ended and there were going to be massive cuts in defence spending. Since there was no enemy, all this money spent on war could not be justified. 9/11 changed all this. Within months record amounts of defence contracts were signed. Within months, war in Afghanistan broke out and within a few years bombs were dropped on Iraq. It is estimated that over 1 million have died from these wars and the effects will be intergenerational. Police state laws were passed in western nations because of the threat of terrorists. The terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the ensuing war on terror has completely shaped the world we live in today. It has been used to justify wars and the erosion of civil liberties. Since 9/11, an Orwellian police state apparatus has been set up to “protect us against terrorists.” From surveillance cameras, RFID chipped identification cards, body scanners, terrorist watch lists, no fly lists, the events of 9/11 have affected us all. The patriot acts passed after 9/11 has eroded the civil liberties of the people or America, and in Canada the Anti Terrorist act was used similarly. Endless wars have been started in Afghanistan and Iraq, all in the name of 'defending freedom.' Once again mankind has been focused on war instead of peace. This is because peace is the fundamental threat to the system of enslavement of mankind. It is the fundamental threat to the oligarchs of the world.
The oligarchs of the world need perpetual warfare to maintain their control and to exploit the masses. Besides the potential resources that can be gained from war, the oligarchs who run societies, create external threats and start wars, inhibit the growth of the human spirit by pitting us against each other. The mobilization of society for war inhibits the mobilization of society for peace. It also inhibits the cognitive and spiritual development of society, which can pose a risk to the ruling elite. This is because when people are in a state of fear, resources in the body for the processes of growth are diverted for survival mechanisms. A perceived threat has biological implications. When a tiger is chasing you stress hormones are released and blood is diverted away from the organs responsible for growth and diverted towards the exterior limbs to help you run. Thinking is shifted from the prefrontal lobe to the reptilian part of the brain which is responsible for survival mechanisms. The subtle effects of war on the psyce of society are immense. Society as a whole is focused more on their perceived threat; as a result thought is driven away from higher consciousness and the development of intellect. Instead the survival of the nation is the dominant thought which inhibits the growth of higher consciousness and reasoning. Discovering insight into our humanity and the human spirit is put on the backburner. The threat becomes the main focus. Focus on creating lasting happiness or harmony in society is also put on the backburner. The war on terror has cost approximately 3 trillion dollars. With that kind of money we could send every child to university in the US. You can build an international maglev system which can facilitate cooperation between nations. With that kind of money infrastructure projects could be built all over the world that can benefit mankind. We could end world hunger. If the focus was on peace new, technologies could be developed that would empower human civilization. Infrastructure and the development of nations could be the focus instead of destruction.
In 1966 a document was released from Iron Mountain. The document was purported to be the product of a study group of fifteen men who remained anonymous. The authorship was attributed to William F Buckley. The authenticity of this document has been questioned but it perhaps gives us insight to the thinking of the ruling classes. The document examines the necessity of war, declaring:
“The war system not only has been essential to the existence of nations as independent political entities, but has been equally indispensable to their stable political structure. Without it, no government has ever been able to obtain acquiesce in its legitimacy or right to rule its society. The possibility of war provides the sense of external necessity without which no government can long remain in power. The historical record reveals one instance after another where the failure of a regime to maintain the credibility of a war threat led to its dissolution, by the forces of private interest, of reactions to social injustice, or of other disintegrative elements. The organization of society for the possibility of war is its principle political stabilizer. It has enabled societies to maintain the necessary class distinctions, and it has insured the subordination of the citizens to the state by virtue of the residual powers inherent in the concept of the nationhood.”
The father of neo-conservatism, Leo Straus advocated perpetual war because it gave humanity identity. His warmongering disciples from the University of Chicago i.e. John Ashcroft, and Dick Cheany were instrumental in promoting the War on Terrorism. The oligarchs believe in their right to set the agenda. They believe in their right to hold power. In the past the ruling classes believed they had the right to run humanity because they were descended from the gods. Later the ruling classes adopted Aristotelian view of natural hierarchies which led them to their view that it was there divine right to hold power. Lately it has been social Darwinism that has been there main justification for consolidating power.
Today the ruling classes are the corporatocracy, the royal families, the banking elites, and the political dynasties. These oligarchs, some new and some old have maintained the status quo by continuing the war system to organize whole nations and to consolidate their power. The war system maintains the social hierarchies. It maintains the elitist structure or the world through exploitation while sacrificing the innocent. The personalities behind this system are sick and sadistic. Some may even become sexually aroused at the pain and destruction that they cause.
I sincerely hope that this war system will end be replaced by a system of peace which will lead to the development of mankind and the development of the human spirit.
Canadians concerned about the creation and control of money would like to see this issue get as much publicity as possible prior to the G20 meeting because it is a fundamental problem affecting all government policy decisions.
Paul Hellyer, who has worked on this matter for many years and has written half a dozen books on the subject, is trying to get the G20 meeting to adopt 3 changes to our financial system namely, reduce the money created by commercial banks, increase the money created by government and re-instate reserve requirements for the commercial banks. He has written to every member of the G20 and sent them copies of two of his recent books. On May 20 he held a press conference in Ottawa and on Friday, June 18, he plans to speak about it in Toronto at Trinity-St. Paul's Church (beginning at 7:15pm).
The problem of money creation and control is enormous. Canadians paid $170-million per day (over $62-billion) in 2008/09 in unnecessary interest on federal, provincial and municipal debt. The cost for 2009/10 and subsequent years will likely be higher. These costs are reflected in taxes, fees, cut-backs in public services such as education and medicare, training and support of laid-off workers and deterioration of infrastructure such as roads, sewers, water lines, affordable housing and the environment. More importantly, government indebtedness to private financiers gives that sector undue influence on government policy leading to decisions which benefit the interests of the private sector foremost rather than that of the community as a whole.
Friends of monetary and banking reform are asked to consider what they can do to support Paul's efforts to get G20 members to adopt his proposals. As he said, "The G20 meeting is the best opportunity we have had in decades to educate both leaders and rank and file about the vagaries of the monetary and banking system." If you can attend on June 18, good. If you can inform others about it, better. If you belong to social action groups, are concerned about the environment, are a trade unionist or are involved with other community minded groups and can bring them to the meeting, better still. "Unless governments agree to take back some of their power over the creation of money .... they just won’t have the financial flexibility to prevent global warming" or respond to the needs of their people as they should.
Paul hopes we can get a million e-mails or letters in Canada and the U.S. sent to our members of Parliament, prime minister, the president and members of Congress in the two or three weeks leading up to the G20."At least we can make them aware that we want them to start thinking outside of the box and not just try and patch up the old unstable and unsustainable system", he said.
This meeting is being organized without a budget. It will be free, but donations will be accepted at the door to cover expenses. John Riddell is doing the leg work to get the hall set up. If you would like to help you can contact John at <jhriddell@sympatico.ca>.
From covering for the criminal negligence of British Petroleum, to ordering the Senate to avoid discussion of the Glass-Steagall amendment, to putting forward the unconstitutional legislation known as "the unnecessary spending bill" that gives Obama a dictatorship over the Congressional budget process, and more, this British puppet Obama, along with the corrupt Congress, are well on their way to sparking another American Revolution.
At this point, it is the American people who will recreate and reinstate the U.S. Constitution.
A few examples of what is coming can be seen in a thirty-five thousand impromptu demo in Trenton, NJ on the budget cuts, and with almost no notification a 5,000 demo against Obama in San Francisco outside a $35,000 a plate fundraiser for Senator Barbara Boxer. The fundraiser was wrecked as the wealthy could talk about nothing but the demonstrators, while Obama commiserated with them about his troubled 18 months in office and the Mustaches on the posters outside. Meanwhile incumbent lobby funded Republican and Democratic elected officials with plenty of bucks in their war-chest are being trashed in their respective primaries by no names with no money.
The same process has also begun in Germany among the German population. This has forced the Merkel government to take on the speculators with bans on short selling and some types of derivatives. The Washington Post has said these kind of actions by such Europeans could cause a chain reaction. No kidding. U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner has been dispatched by the British and Obama to straighten Merkel out, and get her to back off, but the German people will not accept submission to the empire any longer.
With Greece almost defaulting on their sovereign debt many people are blaming the people and their excesses for the nation’s problems.Early retirement, high wages, pensions and tax evasions, the mainstream media is quick to point these things out. Many western nations are in the same sinking boat as Greece.Spain and Portugal had their credit ratings reduced. The UK has an even greater deficit than Greece.Ireland is on the ropes. The United States is raking up huge deficits while job losses and foreclosures continue to mount. The “so called” economic experts are saying that austerity measures are needed by western governments to save the world from a collapse of the economic system.Massive government cuts need to be made- they say . The time of the free lunch is over they quip.
This type of rhetoric is completely disturbing to me considering it is the economic system itself that is designed to lead to austerity. It is designed to channel wealth to the top 1% and to destroy the middle class. These economic experts are idiots. For instance Greece accepting the economic austerity measures in order to get bailout money would have to make massive cuts that would leave 1/3 of the country without jobs. These were well paying middle class jobs.Right there you would have 1/3 of the population joining the lower classes. There would be no paying back bailout money with a lower class that big. There would be no real wealth in that nation generated with 1/3 of the country losing jobs especially with 1/3 of the people not working and not producing wealth for the nation. It would do nothing for Greece except to keep it poor.
The only people getting a free lunch are private bankers.Western nations are not sovereign because they borrow money from private bankers at interest.Greece used money issued to them as debt to fund their needs at interest. For every dollar these banks have, they are allowed to lend out at least ten times that amount, this is called fractional reserve banking. But instead of lending out to fund industry and to stimulate the economy, they choose to gamble it away with wild speculation, only to be bailed out by government through the looting of the people.
This is what every so called 'sovereign' western nation does. Borrow money from private bankers at interest that can easily be raised and eat up budgets while the banks use money created out of thin air to gamble and speculate. This idea is absolutely ludicrous. At the same time nations have opened themselves up to free trade and have seen their domestic industries obliterated.Cheap consumer goods have made it hard for domestic industry to compete with international markets.Jobs have been outsourced, resources bought by transnational corporations.Because of free trade policies, wealth has been transferred out of nations into the pockets of corporations, while domestic economies have suffered.
These two things have looted the wealth of the people and have made the collapse of the economic system imminent. This is what the system was designed to do -Create a neo-feudalistic world elite oligarchy and then the lower class masses.Don’t listen to the economic experts who preach austerity.Austerity measures are the product of this current economic system, it is the measure that is needed to save this parasitic system. Why save it when we could get rid of it and adopt one where nations are truly sovereign?
In order to be sovereign:
#1) A nation's central bank should not be privately owned like the Federal Reserve. It should not be privately owned like the EU central bank, or the IMF, World Bank, or the BIS.A nation’s central bank should be owned by the people and for the people.Money should not be created by private banks through fractional reserve banking. This money rarely goes to fund domestic industries, and when it does it is issued as debt with high interest attached.More often than not it goes to speculation, which does not represent real wealth. It is money created out of thin air for the purpose of gambling.Instead the power to create money should be with parliament or congress through the nationalized central bank owned by the people for the sole purpose of funding infrastructure and development at little or no interest. This money will be backed by industry and productivity, and therefore, is neither inflationary nor deflationary. It is spent into existence rather than loaned into existence. This central bank could lend to cities and municipalities to fund infrastructure needs as well.
#2) A policy of protectionism needs to be in place to encourage domestic industry, and the protection of natural resources from foreign ownership. This is how America, Canada and many western nations became industrial powerhouses.A policy of protectionism will protect domestic industry from competing with cheap goods from nations that pay their workers next to nothing in sweatshop conditions. It will keep wealth from being channeled into foreign markets. It will keep the wealth at home in a thriving domestic economy.
Canada used to have a similar system. This is how we became a “have” nation. But with free trade and the privatization of our banking system, we are on pace to be like Greece. At some point we will have to make drastic cuts in all areas of life that will affect everybody. All of the western world will have to do this, unless we can adopt the “American system” proposed by Henry C. Carey, chief economic advisor to Abraham Lincoln. It was Lincoln’s green backs: government issued credit that changed America from an insolvent country devastated by a civil war into an industrial giant. It is what got Lincoln assassinated.Government issued credit through our own national bank; the Bank of Canada is what built our railway. It is what funded our health care system. It is what paid for our World War 2 effort with minimal debt.It is what paid for our prosperity before we adopted the globalization model and the use of the private banking system. So do not listen to these austerity arguments about how everything needs to be cut.The economic system needs to be changed.Let these bad private banks go bankrupt. In theory it is not the people that are bankrupt but the banks. The people have unlimited wealth; government issued credit backed by nothing except the faith, labour and productivity of the people issued at zero interest that can fund industry, create jobs, and a high standard of living.Protectionism will protect these domestic industries. It’s time for the transnational corporations and international banking cartels to be informed that there will be no more free lunch.
